Bekaert Textiles Europe, leading in innovative mattress textiles, is hiring a commercial designer.
He/she will work in close cooperation with the sales team to capture full info on customer needs and views on the market development with respect to trends, styling, design and new products.
He/she will develop trend/concept collections and make presentations for customers.
Keeping track of trends, visiting fairs are an important part of his/her job.
Knowledge & skills:
-Minimum bachelor degree
-knowledge of the jacquard weaving and knitting process, from CAD design to the weaving/knitting/finishing of the fabric is a plus
-understanding of the textile manufacturing process
-basic knowledge of CAD systems is a plus
- knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- fluent oral and written communication skills in Dutch, French and English
-Presentation skills
-Open, extravert, social
